Building a good gaming pc
How to build a pc for gaming
In this video, we take you on a step by step path on how to build a pc for gaming.
We are going to build an AMD system but at least 95% of the information in this video is applicable when building an intel pc. The only difference between building these two types of pcs is the installation of CPU coolers.
We are going to use the NZXT S340 Elite computer casing, one of the most popular casings used by technicians when they are giving how to build a pc for gaming lessons. The S340 Elite expands on the durability of its predecessor, the S340. It features a tempered glass panel on the side to achieve crisp clarity on its internal builds. To achieve a streamlines VR experience, the top IO panel has been optimized with additional USB ports and an HDMI port. While building a pc for gaming, you need a reliable CPU cooler because the resources required of the processor force it to generate a lot of heat. We are going to talk about two brands of CPU coolers that can be used for this build; the CRYORIG H7 and the Noctua NH-U12S
The CRYORIG H7 has the following features;
Innovation – The CRYORIG H Series coolers feature a proprietary structural design that combines acceleration and turbulence reduction, as well as strengthening structural strength of the fin stacks.
Air exhaust acceleration – The CRYORIG H7 carries the hot air out of the system faster and more efficiently by utilizing a larger air intake and narrower air exhaust section on the fins, thereby compressing the air and forcing it to move faster while exiting the heat sink.
Turbulence reduction – The CRYORIG H7 straightens out the airflow and lowers air turbulence by utilizing a beehive-shaped structure at the front air intake of the heatsink, Thus makes sure that the airflow moves directly through the full length of the heatsink, carrying out hot air.
Optimized heat pipe positioning – The CRYORIG H7’s heat pipe placement in the copper base allows for more heat pipes in a given area. This makes sure that each heat pipe functions to their maximum TDP capacity.
Extra air intake – The CRYORIG H7 has a proprietary air inlet system that features four strategically placed aerodynamic air inlets that allow for extra air intake. The QF series fan, therefore, gets a higher air output volume for its fan diameter because of the additional air intake. This ensures better temperatures for the CPU heat sink and also makes more air to be exchanged in the system case.
Fast, easy and secure mount system – The CRYORIG H7’s mounting system design provides a quick and secure solution on both Intel™ and AMD platforms. Its dedicated backplate is made from fibreglass augmented PBT that ensures resistance to heat, higher tensile strength, and is more easily recyclable than other plastics. The backplate provides a solid base for your fast and secure installation besides protecting the mainboard from excessive stress that may come from the mounted heatsink.
Compact Design – The CRYORIG H7 is only 145mm in height. compact design. It is, therefore, one of the smallest 120mm fan class tower heatsinks on the market. This compact design makes it fit in almost all mid-tower PC chassis, thereby delivering much-needed tower grade cooling performance in tight spaces.
Zero RAM Interference – The CRYORIG H7 utilizes an asymmetric slanted heat pipe layout, thereby moving the heatsink away from the RAM zone. This offers optimal compatibility for RAM with tall heat spreaders on both Intel and AMD platforms.
The Noctua NH-U12S has the following features;
Award-winning – leading international hardware magazines and websites have awarded more than 400 recommendations and awards to the NH-U12S CPU Cooler.
RAM Compatibility – The NH-U12S has only 45mm fin depth. It will therefore not overhang the RAM slots even if two fans are installed. That allows full access to the memory modules on all current CPU sockets. It also guarantees a hundred per cent compatibility with optional memory fans or heat spreaders.
Overall compatibility – The NH-U12S stands at 158mm tall. It is therefore short enough to fit most modern high or mid-tower cases. It measures 125mm wide, including fan and fan clips. That ensures that the cooler stays clear of the top PCIe slot on most standard Micro-ATX or ATX motherboards, thereby ensuring optimum compatibility with multi-GPU setups.
Focused Flow fan – The NH-U12S has a 120mm that combines v, superb static pressure and unbelievable quietness of operation. It is recommended world-wide by thousands of enthusiasts and more than 150 hardware publications.
Low-Noise Adaptor and PWM support – The NH-U12S cooler comes with a NF-F12 120mm fan. It supports PWM for automatic speed control through the motherboard. In addition, for the purpose of achieving even quieter operation, the maximum fan speed can be reduced from 1500 to 1200rpm using the supplied Low-Noise Adaptor.
Anti-vibration second fan support – An optional second fan can be added by the use of fan clips and an extra set of anti-vibration pads to attain a push/pull setup. This off-sets the rear fan by 5mm, thereby improving acoustics in dual-fan mode.
